Bright red-ruby. Cool aromas and flavors of plum, spices and menthol, less green than the Merlot but nonetheless shows an herbal element. Then savory, juicy and rather elegant in the middle palate, delivering noteworthy definition and sneaky intensity. The granular tannins are firm but harmonious, spreading out to saturate the palate. Very Cabernet Sauvignon, in a more saline, discreet style than the larger-scaled later releases from this producer.
