This estate is owned by the Colosi family in Sicily, and the wine is a blend of Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese grapes, 50% each, grown in Salina, one of the Aeolian islands, in the North of Sicily. 

This is such a delicious, red fruit and saline-driven red from Sicily. The bouquet is intense and floral, with luscious fruit notes of morello cherry and blackberry, as well as elegant hints of flowers and herbs from the Mediterranean.

More of the same follows through in the mouth. An ideal red for summer with fish as well as all year round with pasta, pizza, cheeses and salumi.
