Hints of crushed stone accent red currants on the nose of the 2018 Cornas, which Graillot sources from three parcels: les Côtes, Sabarotte and Chaillot. This is impressively full-bodied and ripe yet complex and elegant already. It should be a beauty.
Expansive, mineral-driven scents of dark fruits, candied flowers, licorice and savory herbs on the highly perfumed nose. Shows excellent clarity and spicy cut to the appealingly sweet cherry liqueur, blueberry and spicecake flavors, which slowly deepen through the midpalate. Weighty yet energetic in character, displaying outstanding energy and mineral thrust on an impressively long, subtly tannic finish.
