This red wine offers aromatics of red fruits, violets, cypress and earth notes. The fresh palate has bright cherries, mineral and spice, with vibrant acidity, soft tannins and a long, smooth finish.

Tenuta di Arceno embodies the past, present and future of Tuscany. The impressive 1,011 hectares (2,500 acres) estate is situated in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, on one of the regions' most historic estates dating back nearly 3,000 years ago, in the Chianti Classico region. Since its purchase by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke in 1994, the vineyards have been replanted with the development of detailed soil, topographical and climate maps to gain a full understanding of the land's\n \n \n intricacies. Only 89 hectares (220 acres) of the estate are planted to vines. The elevation climbs from 300 meters (985 feet) to more than 500 meters (1,640 feet) above sea level, creating 10 distinct mesoclimates. Sangiovese is the signature grape of the estate. In addition, small percentages of Bordeaux varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are grown to add complexity and diversity to Tenuta di Arceno's final blends.
