The influence of the Forster basalt is most easily recognized in the wines from the Forster Pechstein site. Subtle exotic aromas complement the mineral, soft fruit aroma. 

The taste is also dominated by creamy - mineral components, an elegant acid structure harmonises with the natural residual sweetness.
