Heidsieck Monopole Brut 'Blue Top' is the flagship of Champagne Heidsieck & Co Monopole, and expresses the essence of Heidsieck Monopole's style: texture, structure and fruit. Blend of 70% of Pinot Noir, 20% of Chardonnay and 10% of Meunier, grapes have been mainly sourced from the 'Vallee de la Marne' area, known for the quality of its Pinot Noir grapes. On the eye: clear, yellow straw color with green reflections. On the nose: powerful and generous, almost woody and spicy, characterized by great aromatic richness with a blend of honey, toasty, buttery and vinous aromas. On the palate: candied apple notes, with a hint of red berry and a refined texture due to a majority of Pinot Noir grapes in the blend. Flavors of orchard fruits and peach followed by soft caramel hints. Heidsieck Blue Top Brut is a great champagne to enjoy with savory starters but also pairs well with shellfish and Asian cuisine.

Founded in 1785 by Florens-Louis Heidsieck, Heidsieck & Co Monopole is the original Heidsieck House and the 4th oldest Champagne House. In 1834, after several disagreements, his three nephews went their separate ways. One of them, Henri-Louis Walbaum continued the business alone and established the trademark 'Monopole' in 1860. The Heidsieck & Co House reflects the legacy of Champagne. Still evocative of that era, Heidsieck cuv es blend the modern world and traditional savoir-faire with the same passion. Heidsieck & Co Monopole has a close history with governments of Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house received royal warrants in Prussia, Germany, Russia but also for the British Crown and the Swedish Crown. Heidsieck Monopole was also the official champagne on many cruise lines including the Titanic. The most exciting story of Heidsieck Monopole is the story of the J nk ping (a ship sunk by a German submarine in 1916). In 1998, in the Baltic Sea, a submarine expedition found its wreck and the 2,400 bottles of Heidsieck vintage 1907 that were found 82 years later turned out to be very well preserved and the wine was excellent!
